How to Become a Member

New Memberships

New members may obtain a membership pamphlet and application from the Membership Chairman or via the MTNA website.

New members who join mid-season may have their dues prorated only if they have never been a member of MTNA or of any affiliated state or local association.

To expedite involvement in local events, new members joining mid-season (September - May) may send their dues, application form and check made out to MTNA to the NNMTA Treasurer who then makes a photocopy of those documents for NNMTA records. The Treasurer then notifies the Membership Chairman of the new member\'s statistics, then the Membership Chair passes these on to the Newsletter Editor. The original documents are then forwarded to National by the NNMTA Treasurer.

If a new member has sent National a dues check for National and State memberships but has omitted the amount for local dues, under some circumstances he/she may send a check made out to NNMTA for the balance of local dues to the NNMTA Treasurer. Under no circumstances will checks for combined dues be accepted by the NNMTA Treasurer.

Members whose dues payments have not been verified in writing by National to our local dues contact by September 30th will receive written notice in the October newsletter that they will be removed from NNMTA\'s membership roster in 30 days.
