MTNA offers a teacher certification program that gives teachers the opportunity to set themselves apart by demonstrating competency, devotion and professionalism in teaching. In addition to contributing to a teacher’s resume, teachers who become a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) are given permission to use the NCTM Logo in their recital programs, newsletters, brochures, etc. Most of all, it’s a chance for teachers to set a good example by promoting the idea of meeting standards in a profession that involves great responsibility.
